HitPay’s free multi-location management features help you sell across different stores and track all payments in one place.
You can also assign team members to specific locations, switch between locations on the app, and track sales from different locations on the HitPay Dashboard.
To set up location, follow the 3 steps below:
- Create Locations on HitPay
- Assign team members to a Location
- Add Location to Transaction
- Via HitPay mobile app
- Switch Between Locations on the HitPay mobile app
- Via the HitPay desktop

Set up location
1. Create Locations on HitPay
Step 1. From your HitPay Web dashboard, click Settings > Locations.
Step 2. Click Add Location:
Step 3. Enter a unique name and address for the location. Click Save:
Once you create a location, it will be automatically added to the list of active Locations under Settings:
2. Assign team members to a Location
You can assign specific locations to a specific team member (for example, a manager working at a particular store that day).
Step 1. From your HitPay Web dashboard, click Settings > User Management:
Step 2. Click on an existing User to edit. If a location is created previously, select the location(s) you would like the user to be assigned to. When done, click Save.
Note: Admin/Owner will be assigned to all locations by default.
Step 3. You can manage the locations assigned to each user with the User Management table:
Note:
- Owner/ Admin roles will be able to view transactions from all locations by default.
- Cashiers/Managers assigned to a specific location(s) will only be able to view transactions from that particular location.

3a. Add location to transaction: Via HitPay Mobile App
Once you select a Location, all new POS transactions made from this device will now be tagged from the selected location.

Switching Between Locations on the HitPay Mobile App
If you're assigned to more than one active location, you can switch between locations easily.
There are two methods to switch locations:
A. Hamburger Menu
B. Settings
A. Switching locations from the Hamburger Menu
Step 1. Click the Hamburger Menu icon on the top left corner of the app.
Step 2. You will see your currently selected location below your name:
Step 3. Click on the location menu.
Step 4. Select the location you would like to switch to. Click Switch:
B. Switching locations from Settings
Step 1. Click Settings > Location. You will be able to see your currently selected location:
Step 2. Select the location you would like to switch to. Click Switch:
3b. Add location to transaction: Via HitPay Desktop
If you're assigned to more than one active location, you can switch between locations easily.
Step 1. Click on Point of Sale in the menu bar.
Step 2. If you have created at least one location, you will see a location section and the Add location button:
If you select Quick Sale, You can find the Add location button on the right side of the keypad.
If you select Products, You can find the Add location button on the right side of the products selection.
Step 3. If you would like to accept payment from a specific location, click on Add location.
Step 4. Choose a location where you are physically located from and click the Select Location button:

Step 6. Your selected location will be shown here:
Step 7. To change a location, simply click the Edit button.
Step 8. To remove a location, click the Remove button.

Other information
Track & Filter Transactions based on Location
Step 1. From your HitPay Web dashboard, click Sales & Reports > Charges
Step 2. Export your transactions by clicking Export Charges
Step 3. Select your Location Name to include your Location in the exported data:
Step 4. Click Download to export your data as CSV. The CSV will be sent to your email.
Deactivating & Reactivating a Location
You can deactivate a location temporarily or permanently if you don't want to sell at that location anymore.
Step 1. From your HitPay Web dashboard, click Settings > Locations.
Step 2. Click on a location you would like to deactivate.
Step 3. Click on Deactivate Location button.
Step 4. Confirm your action by clicking Deactivate:
Step 5. If you want to reactivate the location, go through the same steps but click Reactivate location:
Deleting a Location
If you longer need to sell from a particular location anymore, you can delete that location permanently. Before you can delete a location, you need to deactivate it first.
Step 1. From your HitPay Web dashboard, click Settings > Locations.
Step 2. Click on a deactivated location
Step 3. Click on Delete Location.
Step 4. Confirm your action.
