HitPay payment gateway on Xero Invoicing allows you to accept payments with PayNow QR (and other supported payment methods) with automatic reconciliation functionality.

Note: There will be an additional surcharge fee of 0.2% applied on Xero transactions processed through HitPay
Get Started with accepting automatic payments using HitPay in Xero Invoicing
Step 1: Connect your Xero account to HitPay first.
Refer to the following help article on how to connect your Xero account to HitPay and enable HitPay payment gateway in Xero
Step 2: Click on Business > Invoices
Step 3: Click on New Invoice
Step 4: Complete required invoice details and click on Approve
Step 5: Upon approving the invoice, you will notice that the PayNow payment gateway (highlighted below) has automatically been connected to your Xero Invoicing account and this would allow customers to pay using PayNow QR.
How does a customer complete payment with PayNow QR on Xero invoicing?
Upon clicking on the Xero invoice link, the customer will see a payment button on top (the payment button text can be customised during the HitPay Xero setup)
Upon clicking on the payment button, the customer will be lead to the HitPay checkout page, which will display the PayNow QR which is dynamically generated for the invoice amount.
Upon scanning the QR using a PayNow QR supported banking or payment app, the Xero invoice status is automatically changed to paid as shown below
Reconcile Xero Invoice payments
Upon successful payment confirmation for a Xero invoice using HitPay PayNow QR payment gateway, the invoice is automatically marked as paid in Xero:
In the HitPay Clearing Bank Account, a spent transaction for the invoice fee amount and a received transaction for the invoice payment amount will be recorded with reconciled status as shown below upon every invoice payment:
HitPay automatically creates a bank transfer to the 'real' bank account for the net invoice amount (Total invoice payment amounts - total hitpay invoice payment fees):
