HitPay's recurring billing function can be used to collect membership fees or provide a subscription-based product or service to your customers. This allows merchants to collect payments automatically for any product or service without requiring a website or hiring a developer.
HitPay merchants are able to collect payments automatically on weekly, monthly, and annual billing cycles with additional features to set a maximum number of billing intervals.
The recurring billing feature is currently available in the following countries:
Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, USA, UAE, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, Gibralter, United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Czech Republic, Denmark, Sweden, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Slovakia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Norway, Poland, Romania, and Switzerland
To get started, log in to the HitPay Dashboard, navigate to Recurring Plans > Subscriptions from the left menu and click Add:
Complete the required details on the Add Subscription page and click on Save Subscription.
Notes:
Renewal Cycle = Billing intervals
Start Date = First Billing Date. Each subsequent billing follows the start date
Times to be charged = Maximum number of deductions for the plan
Once the subscription is created, you may choose to send an invoice to your customer by email by clicking Send Link. The invoice sent to the customer contains the link, where the customer would attach their card to the plan. Alternatively, you can copy link and share it with the customer:
You will now see the subscription appearing under Scheduled status.
Please note that if the customer does not attach a card to the plan by the Start date of the subscription, the subscription will get automatically cancelled.
If you have multiple subscriptions, you can use the additional filters on the right side to filter by customer email, customer name, plan name, created date, total amount and status. Additionally, you can also export your subscriptions to a CSV file:
