When your customers pay for something you’re selling, you give them a receipt. Receipts act as proof of purchase for your business and your customers to help with accounting, processing refunds or reimbursements.
HitPay POS supports 3 types of receipts :
- Print receipts
- Send receipts by Email
- Send receipts by SMS
- Send receipts as an image (iOS only)
Setting up and customising your receipts
- Email Receipts
- You can customise the information in your email receipts through your Web Dashboard. Learn how to do so here.
- Printed Receipts & SMS Receipts
- You can customise the information in your printed & SMS receipts through your HitPay app. Learn how to do so here.
Sending your receipts to your customers
After completing a charge, you will be able to see a payment success screen. Below the prompt, "How would you like to receive your receipts?", you can choose the following methods of sending receipts to your customers.
- Print receipts
- Connect your app to our recommended bluetooth printer. Learn about the setup here.
- Click on "Print"
- Send receipts by Email
- Click on "Email"
- Key in your customer's email and click send.
- Your customer's email will be added as a customer in the HitPay system.
- Send receipts by SMS
- Click on "Text"
- Key in your customer's mobile phone number and click send.
